Come and see all the excitement at the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival!

Denver is a fantastic metro area to live in. There is always something to do and Denver itself is really a melting pot of so many unique cultures. Every July, there is a festival to honor one of those cultures, the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival which honors the Asian American residents in Denver.

Dragon Boat Festivals find their origin in China, but have grown to be quite popular here in the States. Here in the Denver area, our Dragon Boat Festival takes place at Slone’s Lake on July 30th and 31st. Dragon Boats are very long, thin boats that can carry up to 50 people. The ones in our races have a team of 15. In addition to the races, there will also be plenty else to do at the festival. Several local restaurants will have food at the Taste of Asian Pavilion. There will be some very unique performances and demonstrations on the stage. There is even a marketplace, where you might even find something cool to decorate your Sanctuary at Tallyn’s Reach apartment.
